Neighborhood Info Mtg for Station Area development
June 10, 7:00 pm – Library Annex BldgThe developer for the proposed Train Station area development will be hosting an informal meeting to present the plans and answer any questions. A formal Public Hearing will also be held as part of the Planning and Zoning Commission’s review process, later this summer, after the application is submitted. We suggested, and the developer has agreed, to send courtesy letters out to the neighbors informing them of the meeting. We will also have this info in the Village Newsletter, which residents will receive early next week.
Franchise Seminar:
June 11 - at the Village Hall – Board Rm.
7:00 pm - Registration; 7:30 pm - Presentation and Q&AThe Village of Villa Park is working with a licensed recruiting and training firm, and has identified over 100+ Franchisors who would like to locate in or around Villa Park. All of these franchisors are looking for potential franchisees, and some of the businesses are home-based. As a first step, we are offering a free seminar to address the following: An understanding of what franchising is; The types of franchises available and how to investigate them; What resources are available and to how to best utilize them; and personal readiness to become a franchisee. We are hoping to accomplish several goals: find jobs for residents, fill vacant store-fronts in Villa Park, and bring new businesses in!
