Joeychgo.com Every Teenager
Every teenage girl and boy should read this book. The storyline was perfect for the adolescent experiencing "growing pains". The friendships without the concentration on sex was quite extraordinary on the writers part. A very good read that will maintain your interest. br /

Joeychgo.com jdub review of indigo summer
I like this book, because it shows alot of what teens are going through at their age. It talks about sex, love, jealousy, and family all tied into one story. I think this story would grab the readers attention, because the readers might relate to what its talking about or know someone who can. I can relate to it also, because most of what its talking about I've either seen, heard, or felt since I reached my teen years. Over all I would recommend this book to any other teen out there who enjoy stories like these.

Joeychgo.com Amazing
Not since Flyy Girl by Omar Tyree have a read such a realistic novel about young romance. Meet Indigo Summer, a diamond in the ruff, who thinks her world will never be the same after her best friend, Jada is forced to move to another city because her parents are getting a divorce. When Marcus Carter moves into Jada's old house, he sets his sights on winning Indigo's heart, but she only has eyes for Quincy Rawlins, a player both on and off the field. After having her heart broken by Quincy, Indigo finally realizes what a great guy Marcus really is, but will it be to late as his focus shifts to someone new. McKayhan is an amazing storyteller and I can't wait to share her store with my teenage daughter and niece.

Joeychgo.com Life Changes
As the new school year approaches, fifteen-year-old Indigo Summer knows things will be very different. Indigo's best friend and former next door neighbor, moved to another state after her parents divorced. Marcus, a boy she went to elementary school with, and his family have moved into the house next door and Indigo is less than pleased. Once school starts, Indigo goes out for the dance team, searches for a new best friend, and enters into her first relationship with a boy named Quincy. Marcus is disappointed by Indigo's relationship, and expresses an interest in her himself, but still attempts to be her friend, despite her frequent self-centered and mean-spirited rants. As the story progresses, Indigo begins to realize Quincy is not all he appears, and all the while Marcus is looking more and more like a better choice. She must decide how to deal with both relationships and hope her past mistakes will not hurt her future. br / br /INDIGO SUMMER is an enjoyable read young adult readers will be able to relate with. It deals with issues such as peer acceptance, relationships, blended families, and the difficulties teens often have communicating with their families. Monica McKayhan has created a plot that is well-paced, the characters are believable, and as a result, INDIGO SUMMER is the kind of book that is difficult to put down. br / br /Reviewed by Stacey Seay br /of The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers br /
