 The sweeter Densha title gets its date action on...
If you've read any of the other Densha Otoko (Train Man) titles, you'll know the basic premise of the story and that THIS version is the sweeter/cuter of the three.

br /This volume starts us off with Train and Hermes first date at a cute sea-themed bar. Things progress slowly leading into the second date where Hermes brings a friend (whose unknown gender, until the date at least, freaks our young hero out), who is rather punkish in this version and much less forgiving than in other incarnations.
br /
br /Lots of cute, emotive moments for Hermes in this one, as well as for the 2-chaners, several of whom get highlighted specifically with their own little misadventures... the standout being a shy little high schooler who works up the nerve to try and observe date #2 for herself.
br /
br /The later half of the volume dedicates itself to Train going above and beyond for Hermes to help her with a problem and Hermes starting to realize for herself (though we only can see it in expressions and actions) just how she's warming to him.
br /
br /The art is, of course, sweet and cute in nature with the 2chan emoticons being little cat faces... not sterling, but doesn't harm the title.
br /
br /A solid "check it out" is the recommend, though I will continue the series (as I'm pretty sure #3 is going to be the last one for both CMX and Viz's respective titles).
